Oistrakh Symphony of Chicagoβs Fall Concert

Free β $22Join the Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago and Mina Zikri, Music Director, for its opening concert of the 2022-2023 season on September 18, 2022, at 7 p.m. It will be at the Gannon Concert Hall of the Holtschneider Performance Center at the DePaul University School of Music, 2330 N. Hasted St., Chicago, IL.
The concert features 16-year-old cellist Jan Vargas Nedvetsky performing Haydn Cello Concerto No. 2 in D major Hob. Vllb: 2. The Orchestra will also perform Mozart Symphony No. 30 in D Major K. 202.
Jan is a merit scholarship Fellow at the Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago, a training center for advanced pre-college musicians, and at the Chicago Musical Pathway Initiative, an organization supporting gifted musicians from under-represented backgrounds.
Children ages 7-17 receive complimentary tickets.
