Mount Prospect Tree Lighting and Christkindlmarket
November 27, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
All are invited to join us on Wednesday, November 27, for the annual Mount Prospect Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christkindlmarket! At 5 pm, gather around our live Norway Spruce planted in the Edwin and Elsie (Meyn) Busse Park, also known as the pocket park. Enjoy festive holiday tunes sung by the Prospect High School Madrigals, and warm up with cookies and hot chocolate provided by the Mount Prospect Lions Club. Once everyone is in the holiday spirit, join in a countdown to light up the tree. From 4-7 pm, take a stroll inside Village Hall to the Christkindlmarket, sponsored by the Mount Prospect Special Events Commission. Explore a wonderful selection of holiday gifts for sale in the Farley Community Room – just in time for your next seasonal gathering! Please note that Emerson St. will be closed from the parking garage to Busse Ave., and Busse Ave. will be closed from the parking lot entrance behind Central Continental Bakery to the intersection at Emerson St. Free parking is available in the Emerson St. Parking Deck.
