Dr. Martin Luther King Day Celebration
January 15, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Join us for our celebration of Dr. King and his legacy at Chicago Children’s Museum through art activities, storytelling, and reflection.
10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Visit our story lounge on Floor 2 to peruse children’s books on the civil rights movement, race, and identity. Explore resources to help you have conversations with your children about race.
10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Design your own Dr. King Day badge on Floor 2 to commemorate the holiday. Wear it proudly and let the world know what MLK Day means to you.
10:30 am – 4:00 pm: Join us for print-making with visiting artist and educator Derek Moore! Littles can explore printmaking and create messages of hope and action inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ages 4 and up.
