Meet the Creek

Join the Brookfield Conservation Commission on Saturday, September 21, for our annual Meet the Creek event! There will be free activities for all ages, including:
🛶 Canoe and kayak rides on Salt Creek
🐟 Meeting fish and other critters caught and released in Salt Creek
🌳 Children’s scavenger hunt and nature exploration station
💧 Dip-netting for macroinvertebrates with Brookfield Zoo
🚲 The Title Wave book bike from Brookfield Library
📚 Nature Storytime at 12:30 and 2:30 with Brookfield Library
♻️ This is a Zero Waste event! Remember to bring a reusable water bottle and use our free filling station.

Location: Kiwanis Park Pavilion, 8820 Brookfield Ave. Brookfield
Canoeing and kayaking are free and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Children riding in canoes must be 3 years or older, and minors must be accompanied by an adult.
