Meet Her: Mari Copeny

February 24, 10:30 am - 11:45 am

Included in general admission

This year’s Meet Her! event presents a clean water activist.

Most well-known as “Little Miss Flint,” Mari Copeny will be speaking at MSI! At the age of 8, Mari wrote to President Obama challenging him to visit Flint, Michigan, drawing the country’s attention to Flint’s water crisis. Mari is now 16 and continues to fight for water justice, partnering with the water company Hydroviv to donate and distribute lead removal filters to families and youth-serving organizations. Come hear her STEM story!

Limited seating is subject to availability. Mari’s presentation begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Auditorium (Main Level 2, West Pavilion) followed by a Q&A session.
