Lords Park Zoo Opening Day Reptile Show
Herrrrrre we go! Summer is officially beginning at Lords Park Zoo – Elgin, Illinois tomorrow! Elgin Public Museum will be represented at the 9 am Tree Planting ceremony by the Pavilion building, commemorating the final planting of 100 new trees in Lords Park. We had a few of those 100 planted near the museum, too. Then at noon, the museum opens, and so does the pool/Aquatic Center. But hot tip: Visit the museum later in the afternoon and instead be at the gates of Lords Park Zoo at noon, as it opens Tefft’s Farm Zoo for the summer season. Kenyon’s cows have been mooing up a storm waiting for visitors, along with other barnyard critters! AND, at 12:30 inside the zoo, it’s JG’s Reptile Road Show, our traditional season opener! Always a fan favorite! Come meet JG and his cuddly cold-blooded pals. The best part? The Zoo and JG are TOTALLY FREE! So come on out to Lords Park on Saturday!
