Juneteenth in Me: A Journey of Remembrance and Education

May 31, 2025, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Free

Antwoinette Ayers, an influential voice in cultural education and remembrance, presents on Juneteenth and its profound significance. Antwoinette’s talk is more than a historical account; it’s a call to awareness and education about the often-untold stories of African Americans in St. Louis. This immersive experience educates, commemorates, and honors the African American journey. Recommended for ages 9 and up.

Illinois Humanities is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities; Democracy Demands Wisdom and the Illinois General Assembly through Road Scholars, as well as by contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
