Juneteenth Freedom Market
June 19, 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Juneteenth Freedom Market returns June 19th for a fourth year running, with a brand new venue partner, @saltshedchicago! 🥳
What else is new? We’re hosting on the holiday itself —the same day where over 150 years ago, the last enslaved Black people received word they’d be free. The contributions of Black Americans remain enormous, everlasting and ongoing. Juneteenth Freedom Market is a free, all-ages celebration of this fact.
Centering local Black creativity and entrepreneurship, we’re excited to bring you:
🛍️ A marketplace of 50+ local Black-owned businesses and creators
🎶 DJ sets from @iamslota, @ryantheperson_, @cut_cuz, and a performance by @shawnee_dez
🪢 The chance to watch and join the renowned @40plus_doubledutchclub
🖌️ Specially-designed flash tattoos by @tattedbysyd, @greenthumbshawtytattoo, and @jhanee.inx
🛋️ A cozy lounge, powered by @CB2
💅 Manicures from Chicago’s own, @Tips312_
RSVP today through the link in bio! While it is free, please consider making a $10 donation to our friends at @graymatterexp, who are powering the next gen of Black entrepreneurs in our community 🖤
Thank you to our sponsors for their invaluable support! @wintrust, @redbull, @grancoramino, Hyde Park Hospitality, and @CB2.
