Founders Day
January 13, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
FreeJoin us as we celebrate 167 years of nature and science! Meet our collections team, see rare specimens up close, and see how the Chicago Academy of Sciences’ collections serve as a library of nature from the 1830s to the present! Learn more about how local students help contribute to our collections and research through our TEENS program, and discover how you can get involved in community science, too. Meet some of our scientists and learn about the important work they do year-round monitoring biodiversity in our region. Drop by the Beecher Lab to learn all about taxidermy. Plus, make and take home your own nature journal!
Members can enjoy free admission to this event. Access to all of our exhibits, Founders Day programming, and daily programming is included in Museum admission.
