First Friday: Fantastic Food Firsts
May 3, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
FreeJoin us as we learn from Histories For Kids about the fascinating origins of popular foods.
Join your host, Chef Alphonse Dente (Al, for short), as he talks about the “firsts” behind such fun foods as popcorn, cheeseburgers, pizza, ice cream, and more! Audience members will learn culinary tidbits like: Where was the first ice create sundae created? (hint: it’s the home of the Wildcats) and who invented the first marshmallow? It’s a riddle only a Sphinx could solve! Don’t miss out on this fun-filled experience!
Every First Friday, an array of downtown Geneva businesses offers specials all day—from discounts to giveaways to raffles. Shop and dine at your favorite places and discover new ones! We will sweeten your First Friday by offering attendees at this program a chance to win a $50 gift card—donated by Friends of Geneva Public Library—which you can use to enjoy one of our fabulous local stores or restaurants.
