Creation Station: Ceramic Calaveras
Craft and create with us! We’ll provide an idea and supplies then you create your own masterpiece. In this session, celebrate Día de Muertos and decorate your own calavera (skull)!
Best for ages 3-11 with an adult.
Skulls made out of sugar are traditionally used to decorate Day of the Dead altars, a tradition in many parts of Mexico. Use paint, markers, sequins, beads, or feathers to decorate a ceramic calavera skull.
Las calaveras hechas de azúcar se utilizan tradicionalmente para decorar los altares del Día de los Muertos, una tradición en muchas partes de México. Este año, utilizarás pintura, marcadores, y más para decorar una calavera de cerámica.
Please note there may be small pieces and adult guidance is encouraged.
No registration necessary. This is an open house format program. Drop in anytime and stay as long as you like. Last entry is 15 minutes before the end time. While supplies last.
