Blanding’s Turtles
July 8, 2022, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Learn about the endangered Blanding’s turtle and walk the Willowbrook outdoor exhibit trail with a Willowbrook Interpreter. Blanding’s turtles live in wetlands and marshy areas in the Midwest and Northeast but populations are threatened by habitat loss, automobile traffic, and predators. The library’s 2022 Summer Reading Program will benefit the Forest Preserve District’s Blanding’s turtle “head-start” program. Please meet outside the front doors of the main building by the Visitor Information sign.
For pre-k through grade 1 and their grownups.
