Annual Fire Department Open House

September 28, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Every year, the Fire Department hosts an open house at Fire Station #1, 112 North Riverside Avenue.

The 2024 Fire Department Open House will be held Saturday, September 28th from Noon to 3pm.

The purpose of this event is to spread the fire safety message by encouraging everyone to come out and see what the department has to offer.

The event includes live demonstrations of different rescue and firefighting equipment, dive, vertical rescue, children’s safety house, live fire and sprinkler demonstrations, auto extrication, kids’ challenge obstacle course, handouts and information on a variety of different programs and public safety topics.

We highly encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to take a tour, visit with the different members of the department, and to ask any questions that you might have.
