Escape rooms can be a fun activity for the whole family, and many offer designated escape rooms for kids or a kids mode feature! The clock is ticking and your adrenaline is buzzing, pushing you and your group to solve puzzles and overcome challenges as a team. Escape rooms can make for a perfect night for family fun while teaching your kids some teamwork.
A couple of tips: Most locations require advance booking, and some are open for other groups to participate with you. If you prefer a private room, be sure to indicate that when you’re booking. Also be sure to take note of the escape room difficulty level when booking. There are various levels if you are looking for a more challenging night that will guarantee fun for a date night, team bonding, or a night out with friends.
For a family adventure, call ahead to check that the room is age-appropriate. Some rooms have murder mystery, horror, or other themes that may be upsetting to young or sensitive children. However, there are many rooms with family-friendly themes!
Even with recommended ages, most places only allow kids to participate with adult supervision, so be sure to check first if you’re planning to drop older kids off with friends.
