Inside the new IDNR STEM Learning Lab, kids in grades 1-6 and their families can explore a variety of hands-on activities that teach innovation in agriculture, history, and sustainability! Meet local 4-H groups and see how non-profit, OLI is combating food insecurity and honoring veterans at Naper Settlement’s gardens. 4-H Day is FREE for 4-H Members and Naperville Residents with proof of residency and/or membership!

All Programs and Activities are included in admission. Please sign up for the timed programs below at the IDNR STEM Learning Lab in the Mary and Richard Benck Family Agriculture Center upon arrival.
Unlocking Agri Innovation

Explore different technologies that transformed agriculture and how farmers must continue to innovate, learn and adopt new technologies to grow more food in a sustainable manner.
Power Protectors
4-H Program • 11 AM
Through decades of neglect and waste, Energy Island is in danger of becoming unplugged forever! Now it’s in the hands of the next generation — The Power Protectors — to save it!
Field Watchers
Naper Settlement Program • 12-2 PM
Connect with farmers in Illinois while engaging in inquiry-based STEM learning and experimentation in agronomy and coding.
