Fun with STEM: Learn and Create

FreeMembers of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) present monthly science,
technology, engineering, and math (STEM) topics. For grades 2-5.
September 19: Diffraction of Light
Discuss what light is and how diffraction gradients separate light into its components. Make kaleidoscopes using diffraction gradients and toilet paper rolls.
October 24: Secret Messages
Learn about the history of secret messages and develop secret codes to write messages. Use chemistry to write a secret message.
November 28: Squishy Circuits
Discuss polymer, Newtonian, and non-Newtonian fluids, where they are used, and how they affect the environment. Create slime to take home.
