Designed and led by Chicago artists, Family Day is a monthly program at the MCA for all families and youth. Enjoy FREE admission while taking part in workshops, open studio sessions, gallery tours, and performances. For this Family Day, engage in programs and activities focused on performance, movement, and self-expression.
Bundle up for some frosty fun! Explore the winter wonderland at Lincoln Marsh in search of snowflakes and discover winter fun facts along the way! Programs that start at 5P or later will use flashlights. Children must be accompanied by a non-paying adult.
Looking to connect with other parents with young children? Come play at the Cubhouse! Chat with friends old and new while your child explores our forest-themed indoor playground. Coffee will be provided. Perfect for ages 8 months to 5 years.
If your early-grade child has the day off, have them spend a couple of hours with us meeting our animals, and focusing on fun nature subjects. Each date will have a different theme. Please dress your child ready for both indoor and outdoor adventures.

Are you a fan of Ninjago or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Aspiring warriors are welcome to train with us in the ways of the ninja through a variety of challenges, including an obstacle course and ninja trivia. Grades 1-5.
Come celebrate the cuddly birthday of author A.A. Milne with all things Winnie-the-Pooh! We will have drop-in activities in the Youth Department all day and a special Winnie-the-Pooh Party at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. geared for ages 2-6.
