World of Genomics: Discover Everyday DNA

Included in general admissionJoin us for this interactive, hands-on science experience featuring multiple stations focused on specific aspects of science, with volunteers from the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Visitors will learn about DNA, genetics, agriculture, robotics, and microbes—all through family-friendly activities led by volunteer researchers from the IGB. See living biobots in action, interact with our ant and bee hives, explore the structure of DNA, score yourself on the Veggie Meter, and much more!
