Weekend Events: May 19-21, 2017

May is National Water Safety Awareness Month and Goldfish Swim School in Burr Ridge is all about it. In addition to their quarterly Safety Week during lessons, they will be hosting a free Safety Day this Saturday with tons of fun! From 2:30 – 4:30 pm there is open swim, touch-a-truck with the Burr Ridge Fire Department, a bounce house, arts and crafts, snacks and more… all for free. Click here for the full calendar listing.

This Friday is the last Pajama Party of the year at Jo’s Footwork Studio. It is split into two time slots: 4:00 – 6:00 pm for ages 3+ (showing Madagascar) and 6:30 – 8:30 pm for ages 6+ (showing The Emperor’s New Groove). Wear your favorite PJs, bring a pillow and/or blanket and watch a movie, eat pizza, make ice cream treats, and play games! Click here for the flyer and registration form.

Here are some other highlights… Taste of Glen Ellyn is all weekend, Origami in the Garden opens at the Morton Arboretum, there are some great art festivals, the Lombard Lilac Festival parade on Sunday, farmers markets, pet-friendly events, opportunities to be active, learn, and have fun!
