Veterans Day is dedicated to all veterans of the American military. It was originally knows as Armistice Day, but in 1954, the name was officially changed. Teach your children that it’s not just another day off from school, but an important way to honor the brave men and women who defend our country. Here are some local events to celebrate this national holiday.
