The Great Pumpkin Smash
Don't know what to do with that old pumpkin? Why not smash it down Barrie Sled Hill and enter your carved work of art in the mushiest and squishiest event of the season? All participants will start at the top of Barrie Hill and toss or smash their pumpkins to smithereens. Free and open to the public - no need to pre-register, just show up ready to SMASH! Ages 2+

Merry and Bright Flashlight Night
Winter is in full force and we are going to enjoy every minute of it! Join us for our Merry and Bright Flashlight night where teens can meet at Barrie Center, do some sledding, drink hot chocolate, eat cookies, and go on a scavenger hunt for hidden winter wonders!

Featuring Updated Curriculum from Safe Sitter Inc.! Safe Sitter prepares students to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who is choking, and helpful information like what to do if there is severe weather. School’s Out: Preschool Edition
Join the Park District of Oak Park on select days when District 97 is off of school. Participants will have fun as they laugh, play, and explore the day away. Different days will explore different content areas. Please dress your child for messy play inside and outside. Snack will be provided.
