“Southwestern Michigan is always fun! It’s only a hour drive and there are a lot of houses available for rent on VRBO and home away.com. Lakeside, Harbert, New Buffalo, Sawyer are all great.” -Katie
“My boys loved Gatlinburg, Tennessee at ages 2 and 4. Beautiful mountain town, very kid friendly, lots to do! The shark tunnel in the aquarium was amazing. We also stopped at the Louisville Slugger museum in Kentucky on the drive down.” -Nichole
“Check out St. Joes Michigan! You can stay at a hotel in a family suite right on the beach! There is a nice park right on the beach and a huge carousel and 2 childrens museums. All restaurants and bakery etc all walking distance (2-3 blocks max) took our 2 and 3 year old there last summer and had a great time! Going again this summer.” – Maureen
“Saugatuck, MI is the best! I’ve been going since I was kid and now bring my boys. Lots of rental options to choose from.” -Ryan
“I would add Traverse City MI for a driving trip or Siesta Key FL for a further trip.” – Laura
“Driving – Minocqua WI … Otherwise Siesta Key FL (which my husband thinks we should still drive to!)” -Lauren
“On a single income household we can’t do the big vacation, we love Wisconsin Dells” -Melissa
“Traverse City, Michigan and surrounding area!!” -Dawn
“San Diego and Phoenix! Washington DC awesome too!” -Becky
