Kidlist Event! Kids Make-Your-Own Pizza Night

We are incredibly excited to announce our first-ever original Kidlist event: A Kids Make-Your-Own Pizza Night at Stix & Stones in Burr Ridge on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Stix & Stones is a fun restaurant at Burr Ridge Village Center with a great ambiance that we think you will enjoy. They make their own homemade dough with “00” flour to create the classic crisp and chewy crust, their sauce is made with San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella is made right there in the restaurant!

Event Details

On the 26th, you can choose between two seatings (5:30 or 6:15 pm) where your kids can dress the part with a nice, adjustable chef’s hat and apron, which you are welcome to take home.

The restaurant manager will be there and everyone will be meeting the chef, who will talk to the kids about how they make the dough and wood fire the pizzas. Your kids will then create a personal pizza from pressing out the dough, spreading the sauce, choosing their toppings, and arranging it on their pizza (pizzas will be labeled as they go into the oven, so they are sure to get their masterpiece back to eat). The pizza makers will also receive a drink and their choice of a cookie or scoop of Plush Horse ice cream. We will also provide Kidlist activity booklets with games, coloring, and more to enjoy while they are waiting for their pizza to be baked.

Halloween is Happening! 2020 Family-Friendly Halloween Events

And guess what… Parents, grandparents, caregivers, or whoever is accompanying the pizza makers will receive 15% off all food, beer, and wine while at the event! Of course, great wood fired pizza should have great beer to go with it, and their selection of noteworthy craft beers is locally inspired. You’ll find unique and delicious beers that you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else.

You will also be bringing home discounts and freebies from Stix & Stones and be the first to have your very own Kidlist car or refrigerator magnet.

We are not placing an age requirement for participants, so please use your judgement as to whether your child will enjoy making their own pizza and is able to sit on a stool to participate. It’s going to be a blast!

PLUS Professional Photography

Sheena Magnesen from Smm Photography will be taking photographs to capture the fun and you are welcome to download your pictures free of charge from the Facebook photo album that will be created after the event.

Sheena has been photographing children and families for over 6 years and loves interacting with both parents and children alike. Having two young ones of her own really helps her connect with the children she photographs; Sheena love capturing their unique little personalities! With the changing temperatures upon us, she is booking for outdoor Fall sessions from now until November so if you’re interested in updating your family portraits this year and want to get ahead on your holiday cards, give her a call and you can chat about a session!

  1. Does anyone know if the dough is egg free? I would love to attend this but I have a kiddo with an egg allergy.
