Gifts for the Holidays: Recently Published Disney Books

I put together a list of our favorite Disney books that have been published in the last month or two. Some are Christmas themed and some you can enjoy year round, but all make great gifts or even maybe a surprise for a chilly day. Don’t you just love to snuggle up with your kids in this cold weather to read books?! Enjoy!

The complete story of the movie Frozen along with an instrumental CD that you can play and sing along with your favorite songs. Another great feature of this book is that at the end it has all of the words to “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” “For the First Time in Forever,” and “Let It Go.”
Suggested Ages: 6-8 years old

summer palace petsPalace Pets: Summer the Kitten for Rapunzel, Teacup the Pup for Belle and Berry the Bunny for Snow White
These fun board books have a variety of textures to touch and feel and each book has rope handles, which make them favorites for little hands to carry around and read. Our favorite in this series is Summer the Kitten for Rapunzel because the it has the largest variety surfaces to explore. The recommended ages are 3-5 years old, but I would suggest buying them for a younger audience, probably 2-4 years old.

a merry christmas cookbookA Merry Christmas Cookbook
All of the fun recipes in this book can be made by your children (and your help with the oven in some cases). It contains fun ideas like Olaf pizza shaped like snowmen. If your kids have expressed interest in helping you in the kitchen or if you want to get your kids involved in food prep, this book is great! I even think that if you have a picky eater it might get them interested in trying new things because of the Disney-themed recipes with fun food presentations. The suggested ages for this book are 6-8 years old, but I think younger children could also participate quite a bit and definitely enjoy the food.
