I ran across DigiBirds at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair and just couldn’t pass them up. How cute is this little bird?! Spin Master was gracious enough to give us a sample and my daughter immediately fell in love and named this little bird Jennifer. She pets her, made her a nest at home, talks to her… and the bird sings back! It responds to some noises, but the two primary ways to make it sing are either to blow into the chest sensor or blow into the whistle (included). You can also download an app that has tones so the bird will sing specific songs.
The tweeting noises are soothing and realistic, which is a huge plus after having bad experiences with talk toys that are so irritating. Every time I see this little bird it makes me smile! It’s a wonderful idea for a stocking stuffer. You can buy single birds or in three packs. There is a solo mode or a choir mode, which enables the birds to sing in a chorus. There isn’t a volume button on them, which I thought was going to be a drawback, but it seems to be at a good volume and I haven’t had the need to turn it up or down anyway. You can see the DigiBird in action below.
