Wolf Road Prairie Hikes

$10 β $15Wolf Road Prairie in Westchester, IL is putting on a show! Join wildlife and nature guide, Megan Beyer, on a hike using sidewalks left behind from a construction project halted by the Great Depression. Experience the large prairie remnant in full bloom the same way it has for thousands of years, untouched by manβs plow. Kids will be tasked to spot, learn, identify and enjoy what the prairie has to offer in a fun, interactive way. Appropriate dress is required! That includes: closed toe-footwear, preferably a sneaker, long pants tucked into socks, and insect repellant. We recommend a hat. This is an outdoors-only class. In case of inclement weather there will be a rain date.
Meeting place: Park for drop off and pick up in the available parking spots on the north side of 31st ST, just west of Wolf Rd. Your guide will be standing by the large Wolf Road Prairie sign. ( Wolf Road Prairie is located north of 31st ST, west of Wolf Road, and south of Constitution Dr.)
