Admission for Tuesdays on the Terrace is free, and walk-up tickets are always available. Register in advance to receive pre-show reminders. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis; there are no pre-reserved seating options. Summer Tuesdays come alive on the MCA’s Anne and John Kern Terrace Garden with free music highlighting artists from Chicago’s internationally renowned jazz community. Bassist Jeremiah Hunt leads a centenary performance in honor of the great Charles Mingus, performing a blend of the swinging hard bop and deeply felt blues that proves why Mingus is still one of the most beloved musicians of all time.
