Thrills and Chills of Ice Cream Science and History
July 17, 2020, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm$35 – $50
Making and eating ice cream is a fun way to introduce early physics and chemistry teachings to children. Kids can become an expert on this billion-dollar industry as we make a batch of homemade ice cream and indulge. Also, explore the science of the beloved amusement park treat, Dippin’ Dots and the first novelty ice cream bar, the Eskimo Pie. Then sit down for the most outrageous ice cream eating contest in town. Did anyone say BRAIN FREEZE? This is a child’s dream class and all about putting the fun back into learning and building self-esteem. Don’t wear your Sunday best, we will get sticky! BONUS MATERIAL: THE HISTORY AND TASTING OF THE ICEE.
