Third Annual Gingerbread House Contest

FreeHouses will be on display Saturday, December 1 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. We are continuing our new holiday tradition with our third annual gingerbread house contest! This year admission to the contest is free, but you must pre-register by Thursday, Nov. 29th at 5 p.m. by returning a completed entry form, either by mail, in person, or by email to director@gehs.org. There are awards for individuals and groups; for children, teens, and adults. Categories for Buildings include: Best Depiction of Glen Ellyn Building or Event, Best Depiction of Historical Building or Event, Best House for Dogs (or Other Companion Animals), Best House for Birds (or Wild Animals). The bases do not need to be edible (plywood is recommended), but all visible materials should be edible.

Local businesses and organizations are welcome to participate, too. You can even leave give-aways/coupons by your gingerbread house at no extra charge.
