Spring Exhibit Opening Reception

March 4, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

The Batavia Depot Museum staff will host a special viewing from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 4, for the Museum’s two spring exhibits! The eclectic exhibit, Inspiring Expression, celebrates how Batavians used visual arts to express themselves over time, in a variety of mediums that are common as well as astounding. It promises a look inside the Museum’s archives of rarely viewed visual artworks created by Batavians. The groundbreaking exhibit, Refraction: Finding Identity, delves into the changing norms revolving around one’s identity; clothing styles worn throughout the decades by males and females; sexuality; and how pink became associated with girls and blue for boys
