School of Rock Music & Movement Time
January 10, 10:30 am - 11:00 am
An event every month that begins at 10:30 am on day Second of the month, repeating indefinitely
Join School of Rock Naperville for a rocking Music & Movement Time!
Shake, rattle, and roll. Children love music! They feel music physically and emotionally. Young children are learning that movement communicates messages and represents actions. They “think with their bodies” well before they think with words. Body movement is not only fun for children but also a good opportunity for them to solve problems. So let’s get moving, have fun, and make some music!
This drop-in program is included with Museum admission or membership.
About School of Rock Naperville
At School of Rock Naperville, students in the Little Wing and Rookies Programs are taught the creativity, confidence, and knowledge they need to grow into life-long lovers and practitioners of music. Music is the gateway to childrens’ growth, whether it’s in the form of great friendships from shared musical experiences or the joy of hearing an inspirational song for the first time.
The students at Naperville enjoy a unique variety of music-minded games based on some of the most popular music in rock and roll history. Through great music and a foundation of fun, students refine their motor skills, coordination, pre-literacy, and group cooperation in a safe and inclusive environment.
Young rockers in Naperville’s Little Wing and Rookies Program can expect:
• Exploration of hand percussion and other tools to spark their imagination
• Unique and engaging music games
• Teamwork, cooperation, and group music activities
• Fundamental skills for music and life
• Fun and practical learning combined, perfectly tailored to growing minds
All events will be reviewed before publishing to the calendar. Event approval usually occurs on Wednesdays; if you need your event to be reviewed before then, please email Annie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
