Macy’s SantaLand®, known to many as Cozy Cloud from the Marshall Field days, can be found on the 5th floor of Macy’s on State Street. Since 1948, Santa Claus has visited millions of children at the State Street SantaLand.
Hint: The best time to visit Santa is at store opening before the lines get too long! Beginning Saturday, November 12th a texting system will be in place at Santaland! Once our line reaches a 45 minute wait we will begin taking customer phone numbers and giving an estimated wait time. At that point you are free to shop the building or grab a bite to eat.
More to do near Macys:
The Great Tree has been a centerpiece of the holiday dining tradition for over a century! It will be on display in the historic Walnut Room on the 7th floor from November 5, 2016 through January 8, 2017. Saturday, November 5, 2016 marks 109th year of Macy’s Great Tree Lighting. Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, Aloe Blacc will help light the tree alongside a very special Make-A-Wish® child to kick-off Macy’s Believe campaign and the holiday season.
The 49th Annual Holiday Windows at Macy’s on State will be on display till January 8, 2017. Titled “Reasons to Believe” this year’s seasonal spectacular pays homage to all the things that make the holiday’s our favorite time of the year; family traditions, spirit of Santa, togetherness, giving, love and the magic of the season.
Holiday Traditions Tour is a 60 minute guided store tour highlighting the traditions of State Street. Tours are available every Friday in November and December at 11:30am for $12 per person or by reservation for groups of 10 or more. For details contact us today.
