Parenting Program – CANCELED

FreeSt. John Lutheran Early Learning Center (ELC) will present a free Parenting Program open to the community on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The topic will be “Six Secrets to Parenting Preschoolers.”
Effective parenting methods relating to family scheduling, positive discipline approaches, modeling behaviors, instilling independence, engaging in stimulating playtime, and supporting a healthy lifestyle will be discussed.
The featured speaker will be ELC staff member, Mrs. Dawn Lantero, author of Practical Principles for Positive Parenting. She has been a presenter at the Illinois ASCD Pre-K & Kindergarten Conference and facilitated many parenting workshops. In addition, she writes an interesting blog at http://splashparenting.blogspot.com.
Mrs. Lantero has been helping parents gain new insights for 19 years by combining her experience as a licensed preschool teacher with her practical knowledge as a mother of four. She offers real life and long-lasting solutions to parents who are looking for inspiration and support. She believes that parents who learn even just a little about child development and positive discipline can dramatically alter their total family experience.
