Memorial Day Annual Parade and Remembrance Ceremony

May 29, 2023, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

The Ross Bishop VFW Post #5696 presents Lisle’s Memorial Day celebration. This year’s festivities will begin with a parade that will begin at Lisle Junior High School, 5207 Center Avenue and will proceed down Main Street to School Street, ending on Center Street at the Lisle Veterans Memorial. Spectators are invited to walk in the parade. Any and all veterans are welcome to participate.

Following the parade, there will be a short ceremony at 10:30am at the Lisle Veterans Memorial, 4721 Center Avenue, followed by a short ceremony at 10:45am at the Lisle Cemetery, 979 Ogden Avenue.

This is a somber parade. There is no candy throwing, horns or sirens.

A heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the dedicated men and women who served and continue to serve to protect our freedom and liberty at home and abroad.
