Let’s Go Girls

A celebration of women’s history and female empowerment at Cantigny Park. In honor of Women’s History Month and all the powerful women in our community, Cantigny Park is hosting an afternoon of activities to empower women of all ages.

Storytime
Visitors Center Theatre
12:30 pm; 1:30 pm; and 2:30 pm

Enjoy stories with female community leaders. Each reader will share passages from a book connected to what they do in the community.

Female First in War Tour
First Division Museum
1 pm; 2 pm; and 3 pm

Take a guided tour through our First in War gallery to learn about women who were significant to the cause, and appreciate the multitude of ways that women fought for our country. Tours are roughly 45 minutes.

Suffrage sash Craft Station
Visitors Center Medill Room
12 – 4 pm

Make your own suffrage sash and promote “Votes for Women!”
Ages 5 – 12

Photo opportunities with Rosie
First Division Museum Lobby
12 – 4 pm

Get a cool photo with one of history’s most iconic women, Rosie the Riveter! The WWII-era powerhouse will be available in the First Division Museum lobby.

Meet the Peaches
Visitors Center Backyard
12 – 4 pm

Play catch with members of the Rockford Peaches on the lawn behind the Visitors Center. This activity is weather dependent and will not run in wet or cold weather.
