Flying 4 Kids

FreeKeep your eye to the sky in the month of May. The Westmont Park District will take part in the 6th annual Flying 4 Kids statewide kite fly in May to help promote the sport of kite flying. We will have the Chicago Kite Club come out to do demonstrations and show off their assortment of kites. At 1:00PM we will have the participants take part in the “Candy Drop,” which allows the kids to collect candy that falls from the kites. If you don’t have a kite, no problem, there will be opportunities at this event to make your own kite. Come on out and enjoy the lost art of kite flying. Concessions will be available to purchase.
