|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Sunday and Saturday, repeating until February 25, 2018

Saturdays & Sundays Noon to 4pm

Each weekend we cook up projects that get kids and families wondering about the plants and the natural world. Come visit over the weekend to get a dose of the tropics and keep your kids connected to nature throughout Chicago’s colder months. Each month, we will wonder about the natural world in a different way, with activities changing weekly.

Each month we dig into a different theme for Morning Glories and Fiddleheads, and use the plant collection as a platform for our exploration.  For example, in October we investigate artistic concepts by identifying them within our collection. From texture to color, shading and symmetry, our plants exemplify it all!  See below for a full list of our monthly themes.
