Fermilab Outdoor Family Fair

We are excited to share that we will be having a fair for the public again!

When and where: The outdoor fair is open to members of the general public during two time slots: 1:00-2:30 PM and 2:30-4:00 PM on Oct. 22 in Fermilab’s outdoor spaces. Registration is required.

Details: This fun-filled Fermilab event will feature the following: a Fermilab timeline scavenger hunt, a sweep for insects, a visit of the bison herd, a new interactive quantum entanglement demo, netting for pond critters, an exhibit of raptors, fun liquid nitrogen shows by Mr. Freeze and much more.

Wally Levernier, Fermilab’s ecologist, will hold a special employee and family-only prairie walk at noon and at 2:00 PM for the general public.

We would like to thank the Fermilab Natural Areas, Fermilab Friends for Science Education, Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab and Education and other volunteers who will assist with this event.

Location: Lederman Science Center, Fermilab (Map)
Visitors will be directed to available parking upon arrival. Shuttle buses will run continuously between the parking lots and the Lederman Science Center.
Attendees are welcome to enter the site via bicycles or on foot.

Registration: Please register to facilitate entry to the site on the day of the event.
