Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

December 2, 2017, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

The parade kicks off at Oak Forest High School at 11 a.m. and proceeds on Central Avenue to City Hall. Parade staging takes place at Oak Forest High School at 10 a.m.
The tree lighting ceremony takes place at the gazebo at City Hall after the parade. The trim-a-tree contest winners will be announced during the ceremony. After the ceremony, families can enjoy refreshments and visit with Santa Claus inside Fire Station 1. Please consider donating an unwrapped toy to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation this holiday season. A donation box will be located in the fire station.

Relay for Life Oak Forest will hold its annual holiday luminaria at the tree lighting ceremony.
Honor/remember someone you love by purchasing a luminaria for $10. For more information or to purchase one, e-mail Jane Bukowski at jbukowski51@gmail.com.
Trim-a-Tree Contest Information —
Entries are due Tuesday, November 10
The trim-a-tree contest is open to Oak Forest residents, businesses and organizations. Trees must be decorated by November 29. You will receive an e-mail when the trees are up. All decorations must be weather resistant and securely fastened to trees. Lights cannot be accommodated.
