Christmas Cantata
December 10, 2017, 9:30 am - 10:30 am
FreeThe Christmas Cantata “Peace Child,” an original composition by St. Matthew organist Brian Dobbeleare will make its debut on Sunday, December 10 at 9:30am at St. Matthew United Church of Christ. This cantata speaks to our times through powerful imagery and challenging words to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas: PEACE. It reminds us that God speaks to us in unexpected ways and calls us to be people of peace – peace to the immigrant and refugee, peace to the poor and homeless, peace to those with plenty and power, and peace to the lowly and destitute. In all things there should be love and peace.
Children’s Sunday School is dismissed prior to the Cantata. Nursery care is provided. Coffee, pastries and fellowship follow the worship service.
