Chalk Fest

Thursday, August 3, from 9am to 1pm

Participate in our very first Chalk Fest on the Village Green! Families, professional artists, amateur artists, student artists, and anyone who just wants to chalk, are welcome to leave their mark on the Village Green on Thursday, August 3.

Reserve your square at BRchalkfest.splashthat.com . We will supply you with 3 or 4 basic chalks, and you are welcome to bring your own chalk and materials to help you create your masterpiece.

There will be a DJ, games and more! We will also have judges walking around to choose their favorite square!

Rules of Participation

Your Square

Participants must stay within their assigned space to create their artwork, be it square, horizontal or vertical and move around without interfering with artist/space next to theirs. The whole space does not have to be used.
Due to these pre-set spaces and increase in participation, we cannot guarantee co-neighbor placement requests.

Burr Ridge Village Center reserves the right to limit the number of people working on any space, with exception of those who have registered for shared spaces.

Artwork

Artwork must be appropriate for public viewing: full nudes, advertising, business logos, or political statements will NOT be accepted.  If you would like to advertise your business, please e-mail ckomer@trademarkproperty.com for Advertising & Sponsorship Costs. Burr Ridge Village Center will ask you to remove or change your artwork if it does not comply with the above.

Artwork will stay on the sidewalk until weather or regular wear removes the artwork.

Clean Up!

Please throw away all trash and pick up your items after you have completed your square.

Pictures

Burr Ridge Village Center and Trademark Property  may use photos or reproductions of artworks for future advertising and media purposes. We welcome all our participants to take pictures and share with us on our social pages.

Non-compliance with these rules may result in removal from the festival.
