1000 Tree Planting Project

The 12th Annual 1000 Tree Planting Project will be held on Saturday, November 17.  Volunteers should meet at the Scout Cabin at 10:00 a.m. for a brief teaching seminar.  Following the seminar, planting tools and seeds will be distributed and groups will head out to plant seeds along the Des Plaines River.  The Scout Cabin will be available to volunteers the entire day and volunteers are welcome to return to the cabin for chili and chicken noodle soup after planting their seeds.  Dress for the weather!  For the past three years, the first snowfall of the season has fallen during the 1000 Tree Planting Project.
