Early Education That Paves the Way to Kindergarten
Preschool and Kindergarten Prep programs at Bright Horizons® are designed to give you complete confidence in every aspect of your child’s experience; from health and safety; to ready-for-school curriculum; to the full support of experienced teachers. Just as important, our program is based on what research says best prepares children for kindergarten, and all the big steps ahead. We empower children to think critically, explore new ideas, and build on the STEM, language, art, and social skills they’ll need for success in school.
Bright Horizons centers are located throughout the western suburbs, including Oak Brook, Western Springs, Naperville, Lisle, Downers Grove, and Wheaton. Contact the center nearest you to learn more and enroll your child!
St. John’s Lutheran School has a long tradition of offering a quality preschool through eighth grade education in a Christ-centered environment. They currently offer 3 and 4-year old preschool classrooms with full and part-time options. St. John’s also offers Extended Care before and after school. Their preschool program uses the SCEWD curriculum to meet each of the important areas of a child’s development: Social-Spiritual, Communication arts, Expressive arts, Wellness and Discovery. Three year-olds are introduced to skills and concepts within the curriculum. Four year-olds work towards mastery of age-appropriate skills and concepts. The faculty use project- based learning, differentiated instruction and hands-on learning experiences in their classrooms. The children participate in play-based activities, individual and group projects, art and music.

Preschool at Timothy Christian Schools is a place where curiosity and exploration are fostered and cultivated. Every part of the day is intentional and taught by certified teachers from a Christian perspective. Timothy’s multi-age program (ages 3–5) is play-based and includes whole child activities. We partnered with Concordia University to develop a standards aligned curriculum that is theme-based and integrates differentiated learning experiences. Timothy’s Afternoon Explorations, early drop-off, late-pickup, and aftercare until 6pm lets you create a schedule that meets your child’s needs, whether that’s just one afternoon a week or many. Come tour Timothy Christian Schools and learn how we care for the whole child. (Ask about our recent award from the Illinois Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development!)
