The Children’s Theatre of Western Springs Class Registration Is Now Open

Are your kids interested in acting, improvisation, and musical theatre, or technical classes like set design, lighting, and sound? The Children’s Theatre of Western Springs (CTWS) is offering classes for children in kindergarten through high school and celebrating their 70th year of opening young minds to the world of performing arts! Registration is now open for students of all experience levels.

Classes include “Silly Scenes”, “Disney Days Musical Theatre”, “Choose Your Own Acting Adventure”, “Little Actors… Big Fun!”, “Radio Show” “Technical Theatre” and MUCH more! Click here to see their full list of classes, which also includes days, times, and tuition. Tuition rates start at $108 for the session and classes start the week of September 19, 2016.

All classes are taught by highly skilled theater professionals, many of whom also are certified teachers. In addition to learning about the performing arts, students learn lifelong skills such as being more comfortable speaking in front of others, learning to collaborate as a team and how to think on their feet.

CTWS is under the direction of Lindsey Branson, a Chicago children’s theater veteran who has directed over 40 productions during her 10-year career. Lindsey earned her Masters in Directing from Roosevelt University and is a graduate of the Second City improv conservatory.

New this year! Auditions for all mainstage children’s shows and high school rep are now open to any student enrolled in a class that semester. Auditions will take place for upcoming productions of Elf Jr. and Alice in Wonderland on September 24 and 25. Class spots are filling up quickly, so be sure to register today!
