Brickworld Chicago (Schaumburg) 2013

Brickworld is coming to Chicagoland! This was one of my son’s favorite events last year and we can’t wait to go back this year. Don’t miss the giveaway at the end of the post for the chance to win a family pass!

Large displayExperience the “brick” like never before at the 7th Annual Brickworld Chicago expo, the only Chicago-area event dedicated to all things LEGO®. Open to the public Saturday, June 15 (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and Sunday, June 16 (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.) at their new venue, the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois. Brickworld attendees will have the chance to view 1000’s of original inspired creations – all made out of LEGO bricks. Special sections throughout the 50,000 square foot expo floor will be devoted to a variety of themes to meet all interests from train clubs, castles, and space, to robotics and popular movies. Spend the day with the family marveling and interacting with the displays and their builders – and find inspiration for your own creations!

  1. Our favorite family activity is swimming and going to the splash park at Ty Warner Park.

  2. Our favorite summer activity is taking the train to Chicago to ride the water taxi and have lunch at Millenium Park.

  4. Love checking out the extreme Lego builds – makes me dream of us having enough time make something so elaborate! The minifigs are my favorite. So cute!
