The Oak Lawn Park District will be breaking ground for the All Inclusive Playground at Columbus Manor on September 11, 2017 at 6:00 pm!
An inclusive playground will help the Park District to continue the mission of enhancing recreational opportunities, not only for people with disabilities, but for the entire community. In addition, it is the Park District’s hope that this inclusive playground aids in developing attitudes that promote tolerance and appreciation of differences; everyone can be together and have fun regardless of ability level.
Playground Equipment
Some of the equipment is already being built in their Maintenance Building! It looks like it will be colorful and have double wide ramps.

How are they able to build it?
The Oak Lawn Park District is a recipient of a $300,000 playground matching grant through Illinois Park and Recreation Association, Playcore and their affiliated GameTime and Cunningham Recreation.
$46,832.93 has currently been raised and fundraising efforts continue. If your organization is interested in sponsoring this All Inclusive Playground, please call the park district at (708) 857-2225.
